Today's Stories

Just a bit of a "heads up" to some of the major stories we'll try to keep an eye on for you today.

1.  A massive (and ugly) report on potential problems with Electronic Voting Machines in Maryland.  If anyone can tell me why it wouldn't apply to everywhere, please drop a note in the comments.

2.  The Colorado evangelical minister (and head of a huge national evangelical association) steps down amid allegations he had sex with a gay escort.  There will be updates posted later this morning, including audio tapes of phone conversations provided by the escort.

3.  Allegations that the U.S. government posted documents, that included basic plans for Iraq's plans to build a nuclear bomb,  to a public internet site.

4.  And, then, one for the weekend -

BAGHDAD, Iraq (AP) Iraq's defense minister has canceled leave for all army officers, apparently fearing violence following the verdict expected Sunday in Saddam Hussein's trial.

5.  Of course, there is the Baghdad update that police discovered 56 tortured bodies there today.

Take a deep breath and dive in.  The next few days should be most interesting.
