Wild and Wooly Wednesday
Still feeling my way around this new software package. I noticed a couple of minor glitches in last night's update. We're working with the developers to get a couple of "bugs" squashed. First in line today, our on-air blogs for today:
The latest on the White House, Karl Rove and Valerie Plame. Detailed reporting. Bottom line, they're saying it's close to "civil war" in the White House.
There are people are out for Karl Rove inside that White House, which makes his situation even more perilous.
My understanding, from talking to somebody quite close to this investigation, is that they think there are going to be indictments and possibly Karl Rove could be among them, if not for the act of the leaking information about Valerie Plame, then perhaps for perjury, because he‘s now testified four times.
And then there is the fascinating analysis of the President's body language in the Washington Post.
The president was a blur of blinks, taps, jiggles, pivots and shifts. Bush has always been an active man, but standing with Lauer and the serene, steady first lady, he had the body language of a man wishing urgently to be elsewhere.
And, for those of you who need to see it, Jaw Bone is a video of some of Bush's moves.
Now, let's dig into our longer list of hot topics among bloggers today. The first couple deal with that reputed letter from Al-Qaeda boss Zawahiri. If that topic doesn't interest you, jump ahead.
Now, a couple more. Just for fun. Don't get angry with me. I'm only the messenger.
