Wild and Wooly Wednesday

Still feeling my way around this new software package.  I noticed a couple of minor glitches in last night's update.  We're working with the developers to get a couple of "bugs" squashed.  First in line today, our on-air blogs for today:

The latest on the White House, Karl Rove and Valerie Plame.  Detailed reporting.  Bottom line, they're saying it's close to "civil war" in the White House.

There are people are out for Karl Rove inside that White House, which makes his situation even more perilous.
My understanding, from talking to somebody quite close to this investigation, is that they think there are going to be indictments and possibly Karl Rove could be among them, if not for the act of the leaking information about Valerie Plame, then perhaps for perjury, because he‘s now testified four times.

And then there is the fascinating analysis of the President's body language in the Washington Post.

The president was a blur of blinks, taps, jiggles, pivots and shifts. Bush has always been an active man, but standing with Lauer and the serene, steady first lady, he had the body language of a man wishing urgently to be elsewhere.

And, for those of you who need to see it, Jaw Bone is a video of some of Bush's moves.

Now, let's dig into our longer list of hot topics among bloggers today. The first couple deal with that reputed letter from Al-Qaeda boss Zawahiri.  If that topic doesn't interest you, jump ahead.

  • THE ZAWAHIRI LETTER - Michelle Malkin links to the letter and some analysis
  • Al-Qaeda's Lose/Lose Situation In Iraq - Also from the right, a detailed look at what the letter may really mean.
  • Anatomy of a bogus talking point - The President uses it frequently when touting Harriet Miers.  He did it just moments ago in the Oval Office.
  • Even the GOP staffers are bashing Harriet - This is getting down and dirty.
  • House of Card - Is Bush's Chief of Staff pulling the strings?
  • O’Reilly: “If Rove gets indicted, that could bring down the Bush administration.”  - Yup.  Bill O'Reilly is sounding worried.
  • Terror Marketing 101: Bush, Pre$$titutes & The Three Exposures Rule - Hmmm. Jerking the MSM's strings?  Could it possibly be?
  • The “Broader Conspiracy”: What We Already Know About the White House Iraq Group - This one pulls everything together as well as anything I've read lately.  Short version of a long Wall Street Journal piece.

Now, a couple more.  Just for fun.  Don't get angry with me.  I'm only the messenger.

  • Our President At Work - A bit of advice, perhaps, on how to hold a hammer?  We suggest Janet Huckabee could help him.
  • The Gods are angry - If it happens, just remember where you read about it first.  If it doesn't file this in the "tin-foil hats" and conspiracy theory folders.
