Friday Blogging For the Masses
It's been a l-o-n-g week, hasn't it? I'm getting tired of big numbers - at the gas pump and on the thermometer.
So, let's stay inside, stay cool, and conserve gas. With that in mind, here are the blogs we mentioned on the air today in the 5:30 Report with Doug Krile.
We begin with a story from Alabama. About an Arkansas-based company. A story that smacks of a throwback to the 1950's or 1960's.
We're still keeping up with Cindy Sheehan, camped out, hoping to give the President a piece of her mind about the War in Iraq. Here's a well-crafted bit of blogging that references those same decades. The blogger writes:
And he then proceeds to create some quotes from those personalities. Makes his point very well.
Just a couple of bonus blogs for now.
Are we winning the War on Terror? A new poll. With new numbers. Indicates we don't think we are. In fact, the numbers have NEVER been lower.
There's a very interesting post about how many administration officials have been involved in the Rove case.
Here's a great example of why I think blogs are really finding a place as a source of information. It's about Cindy Sheehan. And why she strikes a chord with so many people. Solid writing. Links to other bloggers. All pulled together in a neat little package. If you need something to explain to a friend why you read blogs, this is a link to send to them.
Put on your little tin-foil hats for this choice bit of conspiracy theory work. It's about the wildest thing I've read since the days of Black Helicopters, Bill Clinton and the Mena airport. Read it. Come back here and comment.

The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission filed a lawsuit Thursday against Tyson Foods, Inc. on behalf of black employees at the company's Ashland plant who claim white workers posted a "Whites Only" sign on a locked bathroom at the facility.

The conservative attack machine is in high gear in the efforts to tear this woman down.
That made me think of how it would have been in the Civil Rights era if Fox News Channel, Rush Limbaugh, Matt Drudge and the rest of the gang were around back then.
And he then proceeds to create some quotes from those personalities. Makes his point very well.
